Cacao husks are the outer shells of the cacao bean, which is why the tea has a unique, delicious chocolate flavour. Typically, the cacao beans are harvested, fermented and dried before being roasted. After that, the beans are cracked to separate the nibs from the husks. The chocolate is made from the nibs and the husks are used for the tea, so there is zero product waste.
